Critter Cavalry Rescue Donation (Tennessee)

Critter Cavalry Rescue (CCR) is a foster-based rescue for high-risk animals in the middle of Tennessee state. They hold no physical facilities and rely on the generosity of volunteers and fosters in their network who open their homes to get the animals in their care into loving homes to not only await their forever homes but to also asses the animals for behavioral issues, health problems and aid in their training to ensure they find the perfect fit. CCR take the additional step within their network to rescue not only stray animals but they also rescue high risk animals destined for euthanasia in overcrowded shelters in rural Tennessee through a volunteer animal transport system across the east cost to Virginia, New York, Maryland, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

The vetting process of these animals comes with significant cost as the vast majority of animals coming into their care require spay/neuter, vaccinations, Heartworms checks, deworming teeth cleaning and fecal tests as well as treatment for any injuries and illnesses and CCR takes on these costs to ensure the animals they care for are as healthy and happy as possible. Without their volunteers, fosters and donors this mission would not be possible. 

We here at Toaster’s Treats were thrilled to make the trip up to Tennessee to drop off a donation of our all natural dog treats to CCR because we believe all dogs, regardless of their circumstances, deserve safe, healthy dog treats. We got to meet Vivienne of CCR and learn more about their great organization and the work they do, including hosting regular adoption events and events with their transports, which we caught them just in time for out treats to be taken to these events to be distributed throughout their foster network to get our dog treats to the animals in their care throughout the east coast.
